Stop Be still and Listen to God
Many times we get so caught up in our day to day routines that we forget to stop be still and listen to God. God is always trying to communicate with us and guide us in the direction He wants us to go but many times we are just too busy to stop and listen.
This was my case at least where I would feel like God wasn’t with me on some days but the reality was that it was the other way around. On those days when I was feeling down or things were just not turning out the way I wanted them to go were the days where I wasn’t with God. Those days I had tried to do things my way instead of asking God for guidance.
What we need to get accustomed to doing is to begin our day with God. We also need to find time in our day to connect with Him all throughout. One of the main reasons why I began this blog was to keep me committed to doing this and to try to encourage others to do it as well. I’m not telling you to go create a blog unless you want to of course, but what I am saying is you should find time in your day to stop, be still and listen to God.
In the morning before you begin your day ask for guidance and at night thank God and pray for another day. Ask God what He has planned for you today and don’t stray from His plan. He knows why He is putting it in your Heart to do the things He wants you to do and straying from His plan will only cause you to wait longer before you get to the place where He has envisioned for you.
Recently I have made it intentional to save time apart from my blog to really connect to God. I love journaling and going on walks while listening to the Bible audio or worship music. I find that in order for my quiet time to be successful I have to go out on a walk or be outdoors because it makes me get rid of the distractions in my home. I use this time to reflect and thank God for what He has done in my life and listen to Him to figure out what I need to do next.
This is a great way for me to start out my day because it helps me start off feeling great and it reminds me that God is with me every step of the way.
